Player Code of Honor and Conduct

At Legynds, we strive to create an immersive, respectful, and safe environment where trust, integrity, and inclusivity guide every interaction. This unified policy outlines the expectations for all participants during gameplay and beyond.

Core Principles

Honor and Fair Play: Our game relies on honesty and mutual respect. Players are expected to uphold the spirit of the game by playing truthfully and acknowledging in-game effects.
Respect and Inclusivity: Every participant deserves courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
Safety and Consent: Physical and emotional safety are paramount. Always seek consent before physical contact and respect personal boundaries.

Combat Honor Guidelines

Acknowledging Damage: Players are responsible for taking damage when struck or affected by in-game effects. This includes melee, ranged, and other approved mechanics.
Permanent Character Death: No player has the ability to permanently kill another player character without direct consent
The Honor System: Combat is self-regulated. If in doubt, err on the side of good honor and sportsmanship and accept the damage.
Fostering Trust: Demonstrating integrity during combat enhances the experience for all and sets a positive example.

Staff Role: Marshals and staff ensure fairness and safety but will not micromanage combat. Players are expected to self-regulate.

Player Conduct Expectations

Consent and Communication

Obtain explicit consent before touching another player or their belongings.
Respect boundaries and stop immediately if someone expresses discomfort.
Use clear communication for in-game actions and safety checks.

Safety First

Prioritize safety in all physical activities. Avoid harmful actions. Be aware of your surroundings.
Use only approved weapons and props that meet safety standards.
Report any safety concerns to staff immediately.

Fair Play and Integrity

Cheating, lying about abilities, or manipulating rules is prohibited.
Respect staff decisions; their rulings are final.
Maintain immersion and narrative integrity.

Roleplaying and Immersion

Stay in character whenever possible.
Avoid out-of-character discussions in active game areas; use designated spaces or signals if necessary.
Support the storyline and collaborative storytelling.

Alcohol and Substance Use

Smoking & Vaping are only allowed in designated smoking areas. All state regulations regarding smoking and vaping must be followed.
Alcohol and illegal substances are strictly prohibited during gameplay.
Players under the influence will be removed for safety reasons.

Conflict Resolution

Address disputes calmly and respectfully. Avoid escalation and be civil.
Seek staff assistance if needed and follow established resolution procedures.

Property and Environment

Respect the venue and property. Do not damage or deface.
Clean up after yourself and follow venue-specific rules.

Reporting and Feedback

Report violations promptly to staff.
Provide constructive feedback to improve the game experience.

Enforcement

By participating in Legynds LARP, you agree to uphold this Code of Honor and Conduct. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or removal from the game, depending on severity.
